Important to know before you start

Who is eligible for this offer?
To earn or spend Virgin Points with Forest Bikes, customers must:
- Be a new Forest Bikes customer (first-ever purchase), and
- Be riding within London, where Forest Bikes operates
Existing Forest Bikes customers are not eligible to earn Virgin Points on rides.
How do I unlock a Forest bike?
- Download the Forest app and tap the ‘2-wheels’ tab at the bottom of the screen to find a nearby eBike.
- Unlock it by sliding ‘Start the rental’ in the app, or by scanning the QR code on the bike.
Where can I park a Forest bike?
You can park in:
- A clear, safe space, or
- One of Forest’s dedicated parking bays
Parking bays are marked with:
- Dark blue ‘P’ = standard parking
- Light blue ‘P’ = preferred parking
What are the rules for ending my ride?
- End your ride in a clear, safe space or a designated parking bay.
- You may also park on the pavement, provided it’s clear of pedestrians and other obstructions.
How do I lock and park my bike?
- Put the lock through the hole on the right side of the back wheel, then activate park mode in the Forest app to end your ride.
Is there an unlock fee?
- Yes - Forest Bikes currently charges a £1 unlock fee, paid directly to Forest but when you purchase bundles with Virgin Points there is no unlock fee.
